Have you been to the most boring tourist trap in Michigan?
This unique spot draws in a very specific crowd and is among travelers' favorite detours! While there are a handful of tourist destinations scattered across Michigan that promise an unforgettable experience, this one is different.
People planning a trip to Michigan might schedule time to check out Mackinac Island, the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, or perhaps Motor City, but this surprising destination doesn't often make the list of the top places to visit in the state.
According to an updated list compiled by Far & Wide, the most boring tourist trap in all of Michigan is the Edison's Last Breath at the Henry Ford museum in Dearborn. This location boasts "the final breath of the vaunted inventor" in a little test tube.
Here's what Far & Wide had to say about the most boring tourist trap in the entire state:
"There’s some serious hot air blowing through the Henry Ford Museum. The story goes that Ford was so obsessed with Thomas Edison that he convinced Edison’s son to sit by his dying father’s bedside and capture the inventor’s final breath in a glass tube, so that Ford could have something to remember his dear friend by. We’re just glad it wasn’t another kind of post-death emission."
