Voting rights activist Michelle Obama has her eyes set on the midterm elections in 2022. The former First Lady's voter engagement organization, When We All Vote, has put together the "Back To The Ballot Box" series, a week filled with events aimed at reaching out and educating potential voters across the nation. Along the way, Chris Paul, Angela Yee and Regina Hall will join Obama in pursuit to educate voters. First up, "Back To The Ballot Box" will kick off on Thursday with a virtual rally hosted by Obama.

"When We All Vote will be holding a National Voter Registration Week of Action from Saturday, September 25 to Sunday, October 3 with a goal for each of YOU to register 3 voters each throughout the week," the event's description reads.

"That’s why we’re calling on you to participate by getting your community registered and ready to get #BacktotheBallotBox!"

Obama has been very active in her pursuit of voter engagement. Over the last few years, she's worked with LeBron James, Chris Paul and several other stars to push for voter registration in areas where marginalized voters tend to face voter suppression efforts. More recently, she has called on Congress to pass the "For The People" act, a piece of legislation that seeks to expand the number of ways people can vote and make Election Day a federal holiday.

“This bill is not about choosing one party or one issue over another. It is about commonsense reforms and best practices that make our democracy more open, [fairer], and more inclusive. It is about reaffirming our founding principle that we can chart our own course as a nation,” Obama stated.

“The For the People Act is about moving closer to the [country] we aspire to be—a land of opportunity where every voice is heard and valued.”
